I scheduled two doc appts in Kona to have a good excuse to play there all day. It was voggy on this side of the island but Kona was better than I've ever seen it. A cruise ship was parked in the waters nearby, I LOVE tourist days. Keep on coming..I love talking story to visitors. I swear my second job is a tour guide of some sort.
Not sure i'd want to live in Kona but it's a lovely place to spend the day away from home. I like the lush green jungle we have on our wetter side. Lately the weather has been outstanding. The north islands are getting drenched right now and are under flood watch but we're just sitting in gray. I can handle gray for a day.
My photographer friend Jose and I went out to the tidepools on Monday. I remember sitting in the black sand overlooking the world's most beautiful ocean, and watching the silver fish swim, and thinking about how much I love it here. We took over 3000 photos, I'll soon have a disk.
As mentioned in the previous post, the more time I spend enjoying the island, magically I don't want to leave. cutting Zack's daycare was the best decision, now we hang with the baby and the dog..we are enjoying the local treasures instead of beating ourselves silly to work and take on every job, every custom order. I just turned away 1300 dollars worth of orders and I feel very happy because that time is not spent completing things but instead discovering what else can be done. Oh i love dyeing veils. But for example , day before i dyed some stretch crepe de chine and had intended to make something from it but i dont have the heart to cut it up..it'll be framed and hung in the house. Pele art.
Blogging is a task right now. 'd rather not do it. Am usually a mouthful of insanity on a full moon but right now the activity is somewhere else. Embracing Hawaii..
